Difference between Modal and Modeless Dialog Boxes

Modal Dialog Box
A dialog box that, once opened, blocks input to the rest of the application
or to the whole system until it is answered by a user event.
Modeless Dialog Box
A dialog box that allows the user to switch to another window while the
dialog box is still on the screen. The opposite of a modal dialog box.
